Information centre for tourists founded in Hue

The organising board of the Hue Festival 2008 opened an information centre for tourists on June 2 at 19 Le Loi street, Hue city
The centre includes 12 computers, 8 laptops connected to the Internet and printers given by Intel Vietnam company and the Huetronics Joint Stock company.

During the festival, the centre will provide free internet access to visitors. Domestic and foreign visitors can log onto websites for information on Hue city and neighboring areas as well as the festival’s programmes.

In addition, they can send images of the event to their relatives, which is believed to be a good way to popularise Hue city worldwide.

After the festival, it will be a permanent information centre for tourists under the control of the city’s festival organising board.

Sculptors from around the world who participated in the fifth international sculpture camp in Hue are displaying their works at the Abalone resort & spa near the Tam Giang Lagoon. Twenty-five sculptors, including eight female artists from Vietnam have used blue and white stone this year.
The Festival Hue 2008 in the ancient city of Hue will start next Tuesday. For nine days the city and its neighboring areas will be filled with arts, cultural performances by local and foreign artists, traditional festivals, folk games and the re-emergence of special events of the former capital city.
