Implementing Hue tourism planning Project.

Recently, the vice chairman of the people’s committee of Hue, Mr. Lê Phước Hoà and representatives of relevant agencies of Thua Thien - Hue province and the city had a meeting and worked with Mr. Damian Moragues – a Spanish tourism expert with heads of the International Cooperation Department (Vietnam National Administration of Tourism - VNAT) to discuss plans to implement the project and the recruitment of Vietnamese experts to work for the detailed tourism scheme for Hue to build up and develop Hue to become a tourism city, and will achieve a tourism industry of Vietnam in the future.

With the capital of 150,000 EURO, the project will concentrate on studying the potentials of culture, heritages, environment, and the real tourism situations in Hue, then will map out the detailed tourism scheme and targeted supplementary neighboring areas for Hue to call for investments.

The two experts Groups of Vietnam and Spain scheduled to implement the project in the end of October 2008. Through the project, beside orienting to develop the tourism for Hue- the tourism city, the festival city of Vietnam, it is also a good chance for Vietnam to learn some experiences about tourism, heritages, and city from Spanish experts.

Hue tourism scheme project is the results of the great efforts of heads of the Hue city and the big concerns of the VNAT in accessing the sponsored sources by the Spanish government.
